I am a lifelong Dem. But, I never vote strictly. I go over every word and consider a candidate of any party before I vote. At this year’s Republican convention,  it seems I’ve been insulted and mocked by the Repubs. …..”The other side”, “them”, “those people”, “the angry left.” “The democrats.” Mike Hucabee said, “He became a republican, because he didn’t want hand outs from the government.” Meaning what, exactly……….that all democrats do, is ask for hand outs????  I am one of “those people” who tuned in to consider what the repubs had to say, yet, was turned off by their attitude.

Does anyone even care about the TRUE FACTS of the stinking conventions?

Bush in his speech mentioned the “…angry left”. After which he laughed in amusement. Really? This from the most powerful man in the world. The leader of “all the people”, making a partisan remark. Well, what have we got to be angry about. Did it ever occur to any Repubs , to find out? ……Then,  maybe there will be unity.

Questions I’d wish the politicians would REALLY ANSWER.

1.) Why do gas prices seem to rise only on holidays or periods when the public travels are excessive? AND, why do oil companies continue to get government hand outs, yet record….. record profits, yet most small businesses are denied any kind of help…..even low interest loans. WHY ?????? Why does McCain and Palin, “say” they are FOR the people, yet, I have yet to hear either one say, out loud and not thru a “spokesperson”, second hand, ……THEY ARE AGAINST HAND OUTS TO COMPANIES MAKING RECORD PROFITS.

2.)  If John McCain is his own man and is a maverick, how come, according to republican pundits, was Joe Lieberman, a Pro Abortion guy, his main choice for VP, all the way up till the night before the announcement, but he picked Palin because the republican party didn’t want “that liberal” on the ticket. WHERE IN THAT, SHOWS
AMERICA THAT MCCAIN IS HIS OWN MAN.? If he is such a maverick, why isn’t he defending the American people and standing up to big oil?? To me is shows how he caves under outside influence.

3.) Why do the Republican candidates try to drum up votes with terror and scare tactics? I want to know the facts on what is going to be done to keep us safe. I DO NOT want to hear about, how,  “the other side”…… in power will lead to us being unsafe. (Bullcrap scare tactics, we are sick of.)

4.) I have several (7) people in my immediate neighborhood, that are/were in the military. Six (6) of those say, their ONLY duty over in
Iraq, was to take orders from corporate. big wigs, about clearing property, so they can commence building. (DHS, Starbucks, T-Mobile are some of the corporations that these Brave soldiers labored FOR. I WANNA KNOW WHY THAT ISN’T PISSING ANYBODY OFF?????? Our war on terror seems to be nothing but a smoke screen for big corps getting a foothold in an untapped market. At the least, why isn’t someone running for office, looking into this???????

5.) Why do corps. like Halliburton, with ties to our leaders, continually get no bid contracts, pummel the American Tax payers, and yet still get MORE NO BID contracts???? Whatever your party affiliation, why isn’t this pissing anybody off?? We some how just, sign off on it.

6.) While I agree that
Iraq is in turmoil, I have yet to see where the, “threat to
America” is. It seems it’s nothing but a civil war, and they are a threat to each other.  I have yet to see proof that Al-Qaeda (our biggest threat) is present in
Iraq. (Real proof and not propaganda.) But, we send troop surges and such. Why do we NOT send troop surges to
Afghanistan?   I have seen proof that Al-Qaeda is on the rise AGAIN in
Afghanistan. Why are we NOT fighting the, “TERRORISTS”, WHERE THEY LIE?

7.) Questions that require more than yes or no answers:

Is John McCain REALLY a maverick and his own man? What are the facts on Palins ethics? What exactly are Obamas qualifications? Palin has stated that “…. neither Obama or Biden have ever done anything for the American people.” Is that the case? I keep hearing from the republicans that, Obama voted AGAINST the troop surge. Isn’t it true that, what he REALLY voted against was a bill filled with so much fat, like bridges and buildings being named after Congressmen and parks costing millions that was included in that same bill? Why hasn’t the Republican party allowed Sarah Palin, a “person” they are asking us to trust with our countries leadership, being given air time to relate her thoughts and plans if elected? Do you really believe it’s fair for the American public to vote blindly for a candidate that’s so allusive?? What the hell happened to the ‘Straight talk express”?????? (It seems to have fallen of the tracks.) Does her governing a state with less population than, say,
Brooklyn, make her the most qualified person to be McCain’s running mate???

8.) The ultimate question. Why, when someone speaks out against our government, are they labeled, “unpatriotic”.  I’ve heard nothing, over the past few years, but talk about country, service, change, for the people……but, what have centuries of our military fought for, ….than our freedom…..to have the right to speak our minds and have dissention. This election year has done nothing but, breed hatred for those who are outspoken enough to challenge and not just accept what’s happening in our land of “freedom”. That’s something to be afraid of !!!!
